Free feels safe, so it is easy to say yes to the first step without pricing the second one. The ClickBank Profit Club opens with a free sign-up and a pitch about a done-for-you funnel and commissions. If you are weighing it as a side hustle, this review is about the stairs behind that free door.

> **The short answer:** The ClickBank Profit Club is a live program with a free first level, but the vendor's own paid pages (March 2026 captures) show upgrades in the hundreds of dollars, a planned $995 top tier, and a refund window stated two different ways. The main income route described is upgrades bought by people you bring in, and we could not verify the vendor's success numbers. We score it 5 out of 10. Look at the free level only if you set a spending cap first, and treat income as unproven. Your results will vary.

## How this page makes money

Smart Cents Club earns a commission if you buy through the offer button on this page. That gives us a reason to sound positive, so read this review with a skeptical eye. Nobody on this site has signed up for, paid for or used the program, and we will not pretend otherwise. Everything below comes from the vendor's pages, the dates on those pages, and FTC guidance.

One more thing to know up front: the vendor's live page today shows only the free sign-up pitch. The paid pages and prices we can read are archived captures from March 2026. We date every price below, because prices may have changed since.

## What the ClickBank Profit Club is

Here is what the vendor's pages say, minus the sales gloss.

| Detail | What the pages show |
|---|---|
| The pitch | A free, done-for-you ClickBank funnel, built, branded and hosted for you, with leads going to your own email list ([ClickBank Profit Club](https://cbprofitclub.com/join/), accessed 2026-10-04) |
| Entry | Free, no credit card required, per the same live page |
| Retailer | ClickBank is named as the retailer of products on the site |
| Levels | Free, then Team, Partner and VIP in the March 2026 comparison table |
| Accounts | The March 2026 phase 2 page says active ClickBank and AWeber accounts are required. Whether the free level needs them today is unverified |
| Support | Questions answered within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM UK time ([ClickBank Profit Club](https://web.archive.org/web/20260315112712id_/https://cbprofitclub.com/support/), captured 2026-03-15) |

The vendor also promises "multiple commission streams" across upgrades, upsells and additional products inside the membership. What we cannot describe is the training itself. We did not sign up, so we cannot tell you how deep the lessons go or whether they beat free tutorials.

The vendor's own disclaimer says the site does not sell a business opportunity or a money-making system, and that individual results depend on your experience, work ethic, skills and effort ([ClickBank Profit Club](https://cbprofitclub.com/join/), accessed 2026-10-04). That is a fair line to keep in your head while you read the pitch.

## What does it actually cost?

The pattern here is a free entry with paid steps behind it. The FTC warns that even a free or low-cost "system" to start a business can turn into a money pit, and that you should expect the upsell ([FTC](https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/when-business-offer-or-coaching-program-scam)). Here is the math from the March 2026 captures. These are the only prices we could find, and they may have changed.

| Item | Price on the March 2026 page | Source date |
|---|---|---|
| Founding-member VIP access, one payment | $495 | 2026-03-07 |
| Founding-member VIP access, payment plan | $195 today plus 2 more $195 monthly payments | 2026-03-07 |
| VIP access, planned price for the public launch | $995 | 2026-03-07 |
| 2x rotator upsell | $295, rising to $495 when phase 3 goes live | 2026-03-15 |
| 5-year package | $495, rising to $995 when phase 3 goes live | 2026-03-15 |

Sources: the [phase 2 page](https://web.archive.org/web/20260307211845id_/https://cbprofitclub.com/the-clickbank-profit-club-phase-2) and the [2x offer](https://web.archive.org/web/20260315112316id_/https://cbprofitclub.com/2xmember-offer/) and [5-year package](https://web.archive.org/web/20260315115904id_/https://cbprofitclub.com/5xpartner-offer/) pages.

Now the neutral math. Three payments of $195 add up to $585, which is $90 more than paying $495 once. The planned $995 public price is $500 above the founder one-time price. The 2x offer was $295 on the captured page, so the planned increase would add $200. The page listed phase 3 as opening April 13, with a note that the date might shift slightly. We could not confirm when, or whether, it launched.

So the honest cost range is unknown, not zero. The free level costs nothing by the vendor's account. Everything else depends on offers that were shown after joining and priced in March.

If you want a feel for how another ClickBank program builds its staircase of add-ons, our [Go Digital Income review](/articles/go-digital-income-review/) walks through one.

## How the commissions work

This is the part that explains the whole design. The founder page says every member you bring in starts at the free level and is encouraged to upgrade to Partner or VIP. When they upgrade, you earn a commission based on your own membership level ([ClickBank Profit Club](https://web.archive.org/web/20260315111347id_/https://cbprofitclub.com/foundernew/), captured 2026-03-15).

The March 2026 comparison table on the phase 2 page listed these rates ([ClickBank Profit Club](https://web.archive.org/web/20260307211845id_/https://cbprofitclub.com/the-clickbank-profit-club-phase-2), captured 2026-03-07):

| Sale type | Team | Partner | VIP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upsell 1 | 50% | 75% | 100% |
| Upsell 2 | 40% | 50% | 75% |
| Upgrade sales | 50% | 60% | 75% |
| Other products | 30% | 40% | 50% |
| Done-for-you services | 5% | 10% | 20% |

Done-for-you member recruitment, advanced coaching and coaching workshops were listed for VIP only. The same page said founder members would get 75% on all upgrade sales in phase 2.

The vendor's own example ([ClickBank Profit Club](https://web.archive.org/web/20260315111347id_/https://cbprofitclub.com/foundernew/), captured 2026-03-15): if a member recruited for you invests in a $497 upgrade and you are a VIP member, you receive 75% of that sale in your ClickBank account. That is about $373, and it only happens if someone you brought in chooses to pay. The phase 2 page also says you should not rely only on the traffic the club sends, and that you should drive your own traffic. Treat the example as the vendor's illustration, not a forecast. Your results will vary.

Notice who the paying customer is. In the structure described, the main money comes from upgrades bought by members you recruit. The vendor does not call this multi-level marketing, and we are not saying it is a pyramid scheme. But the FTC draws a line worth knowing: an MLM that is not a pyramid scheme pays you based on sales to retail customers, without requiring you to recruit new distributors ([FTC](https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/multi-level-marketing-businesses-and-pyramid-schemes)). Before you join anything, ask who the paying customer is supposed to be. If the honest answer is "other people who also want to earn," slow down.

## Who is behind it, and what we could not verify

The live page is written in the first person by someone who introduces himself as John Thornhill. No pen name is disclosed, so we treat it as his real name. The page describes him as an ex-factory worker from the UK ([ClickBank Profit Club](https://cbprofitclub.com/join/), accessed 2026-10-04).

The same page makes big claims: help for more than 3,000 people since 2004, more than $23 million in student sales, a "9x Platinum" ClickBank vendor, and more than 16,800 members. We found no independent source for any of these numbers or for the testimonials. They are the vendor's claims, and a backstory is a sales tool, so we do not repeat it as fact.

There is also a paper trail question. His privacy policy lists PlanetSMS Ltd in Sunderland, UK ([John Thornhill](https://johnthornhill.com/privacy.html), accessed 2026-10-04). His terms page says the site is controlled by Perfect Insight, Inc. in California, USA ([John Thornhill](https://johnthornhill.com/terms.html), accessed 2026-10-04). Those are two different company names in the vendor's own documents, and we cannot tell you which one you would be dealing with. ClickBank is named as the retailer on the club's site.

## Refund: 14 days or 60?

The vendor's pages disagree, so we will not pick one. The March 2026 phase 2 page states a 14 day "no questions asked" money back guarantee ([ClickBank Profit Club](https://web.archive.org/web/20260307211845id_/https://cbprofitclub.com/the-clickbank-profit-club-phase-2), captured 2026-03-07). The terms page on the owner's personal site says his products come with a 60 day money back guarantee unless the order page says otherwise ([John Thornhill](https://johnthornhill.com/terms.html), accessed 2026-10-04).

We could not check which window applies to a current upgrade. The practical move is simple: read the guarantee line on the order page before you pay, screenshot it, and note the date. If the page says 14 days, put day 12 on your calendar.

One more fine-print item. The founder page says the words "permanent," "life" and "lifetime" refer to the lifetime of the site, and that the average lifetime of a product of this nature and price to be supported is about five years ([ClickBank Profit Club](https://web.archive.org/web/20260315111347id_/https://cbprofitclub.com/foundernew/), captured 2026-03-15). A "lifetime" upgrade is therefore not a promise about your lifetime.

## What we did not like, and what is fine

**The cons first**

- The only prices we can see are March 2026 snapshots, and the live page shows none.
- The refund window is stated as 14 days on the club's pages and 60 days on the owner's terms.
- The main income route described depends on upgrades bought by people you recruit, and the vendor says earnings depictions are not typical.
- Success numbers cannot be verified, and the vendor's documents name two different companies.
- "Lifetime" means the life of the site, and the vendor puts the average supported life of a product like this at about five years.

**What is fine**

- The live page says the first level is free with no credit card.
- The vendor admits that some students make a lot, some a little, and some nothing, and that you can lose some or all of your money in any business.
- The commission table is public, so you can see the incentives instead of guessing.
- Support hours are listed and answered on weekdays within 24 hours, per the March 2026 page.

## Who should skip it

Skip it if you need a paycheck soon, if you are not comfortable with a spending decision in the hundreds of dollars, or if your emergency fund is still empty. Skip it if the idea of recruiting other people into a paid upgrade path feels wrong. The FTC advises reading success stories and testimonials with skepticism, and notes that profitable turnkey businesses are rare at best ([FTC](https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/when-business-offer-or-coaching-program-scam)).

It might suit someone who is curious, wants to look at the free level only, and has already decided in writing what they will and will not spend. If you want sourced, no-purchase ideas first, our guide to [spotting a work-from-home scam before you pay](/articles/spot-work-from-home-scams/) is a good checklist to run any offer through.

## Our verdict: 5 out of 10

The free level and the openly published commission table earn the program some credit. The score stays low because the paid prices are dated, the refund terms conflict, the income story rests mainly on upgrades bought by people you recruit, and the headline numbers have no independent source. A 5 means: possible to look at, not possible to recommend as a plan. Your results will vary, and the vendor says so too.

## Your next step

Before you open the sign-up page, write one number in your notes app: the most you would spend on this, including upgrades, and the date you will check your decision. If you then want to see the free level, use the offer button on this page, read the guarantee line on any order page before paying, and screenshot it. If the number you wrote is $0, stop there and read our [Recession Profit Secrets review](/articles/recession-profit-secrets-review/) to see how we read the fine print on another paid program.
